CliniLink Academy
Cookie Policy
1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how CliniLink Academy (operated by CliniLink Ltd) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and learning platform, and how you can manage them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site work properly, remember your preferences and choices, keep you signed in, and help us understand how the site is used. “Similar technologies” include things like pixels, tags and local storage that work in a comparable way. Some cookies are set by us (first-party) and some by trusted third parties (third-party).
3. The types of cookies we use
We group cookies into the categories below. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the site cannot work without them. All other categories are optional and are only set with your consent.
| Category | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | CliniLink / platform | Enable core functions: signing in, keeping your session secure, load balancing, and remembering your cookie choices. | Session / [duration] |
| Category | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Functional | CliniLink / platform | Remember preferences and settings to improve your experience (for example language or display choices). | [duration] |
| Analytics | Google Analytics | Help us understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on page, general location) so we can improve it. Data is aggregated. | Up to 2 years |
| Checkout / payment | Stripe, Klarna | Set at checkout by our payment providers to process payments securely and prevent fraud. | Session / per provider |
4. How we obtain your consent
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies, or choose which categories to allow. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent and are always active. We do not set analytics, functional or other optional cookies until you have given consent, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time (see section 6).
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties who provide services to us. These include Google Analytics (website usage measurement) and our payment providers Stripe and Klarna (secure checkout). These third parties process data under their own privacy and cookie notices, and may transfer data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards (see the Privacy Policy, “International data transfers”).
6. Managing your cookies
- Use our cookie banner or the “Cookie settings” link on our site to change your preferences at any time.
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. The help pages for the main browsers explain how.
- Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site — including signing in and the learning platform — from working.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date shows when it was last revised, and any material change will be reflected in our cookie banner.
